Dubai, (01/04/2021) – Edgar, Dunn & Company (EDC), an independent, global strategy consulting firm specialising in payments and digital financial services, today announced the promotion of Jean Sideris to Director.
Jean heads EDC’s Dubai office since 2019 and is responsible for industry advisory, project delivery and business development across Middle East and Africa. “Jean joined EDC to lead its Middle East office in Dubai and has done an excellent job in establishing a strong presence in the market. Jean’s experience and deep knowledge of payments has been fundamental in driving our growth in the MENA region”, said Peter Sidenius, CEO of Edgar, Dunn & Company.

Jean has over 20 years of experience in payments in strategy, financial analysis, deal negotiation, M&A and commercial due diligence, product design & launch, traditional, digital & mobile payments, pricing & interchange, regulation and financial inclusion. He has supported many clients on these topics, including Central Banks, international & national schemes, regional & global processing companies, large regional banks, private equity groups, Fintech and telco operators.
Prior to joining EDC, Jean held several senior management positions with Visa and Mastercard across Europe, Middle East and Africa in Corporate Strategy, Sales, Finance, Pricing and Interchange.
Jean holds an MSc in Applied Economics from Solvay School of Economics & Management, ULB in Belgium and a Management Degree from Insead in France.
