A Vision for a Cashless Future

When asked about Taly's mission and vision, Magdy Hassan exudes confidence and passion. "Taly is a top-tier provider of a digital payment ecosystem," he begins. "We introduce omni-channel collection solutions and offer a full-fledged payment experience through a wide range of services tailored to merchants, financial institutions, corporates, consumers, and fintech companies.”

He added: “Our mission is to leverage technology to empower these stakeholders by offering a seamless digital payment ecosystem. We aim to support, enhance, and accelerate their financial transactions and business operations with innovative financial technology solutions, overcoming the current technology barriers usually existing in legacy systems."

On Taly’s ambitious vision, Hassan elaborates: "We aspire to be the leading digital payment catalyst, driving digital transformation and fostering a cashless society. Our ecosystem is backed by one of the largest on-soil digital infrastructures in the MENA region, ensuring high availability systems with state-of-the-art technology to facilitate business needs securely and efficiently."

In line with this vision, Taly recently obtained the ISO/IEC 20000 IT Service Management quality certification, a testament to their commitment to delivering top-notch secure financial technology services. Security is a paramount to Taly, its systems are certified PCI-DSS, PCI-3DS, and PSI-SPIN, ensuring a smooth and secure checkout process for various cards and e-wallets.

Founding Taly: An Exhilarating Journey

Starting a new company is never without its challenges, but for Hassan, it has been an exhilarating journey. "From the outset, we focused on creating a corporate culture that values innovation, integrity, partnership, persistence, and technological excellence," he shares.

Taly also fosters an environment where everyone is encouraged to contribute ideas and drive change. Taly’s approach has allowed it to build a cohesive team dedicated to its mission of enabling a seamless digital payment experience. As a technology ally, it aims to lead real digital transformation and create a fully interconnected ecosystem for its stakeholders.

This commitment to innovation and customer-centric solutions has quickly made Taly an employer of choice, as evident from their growing presence on LinkedIn. "I am proud to say that in a very short time, Taly has become an employer of choice for many talented individuals," Hassan added.

The Egyptian Market: A Landscape of Opportunities

Turning to the broader landscape of the Egyptian market, Hassan is optimistic about the future of payment processing and FinTech. "The Egyptian market is poised for significant growth in the payment processing and FinTech sectors," he predicts. "Taly is at the forefront of this evolution, offering innovative and secure digital payment and collection solutions for merchants, financial institutions, corporates, and consumers."

As more businesses and individuals embrace digital payments, Hassan anticipates a shift towards a more integrated financial ecosystem. "We expect advanced technologies like tokenization, pay-by-link, remote payment gateways, and instant digital accounts to become more prevalent. Notably, Taly has been the first to introduce some of these solutions into the Egyptian market, fully integrated with local payment schemes like Meeza, Meeza Digital, and IPN."

Looking ahead, Hassan sees FinTech playing a crucial role in Egypt's payment industry, far beyond just providing value-added services or innovative consumer experiences. "FinTechs are becoming dominant in areas such as Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) solutions, corporate solutions, e-commerce aggregations, and closed-loop payments," he explains.

Taly's role in this landscape is multi-layered. "We empower financial institutions to accelerate their digital transformation by removing technology barriers. At the same time, we support FinTech startups by offering robust digital infrastructure, enabling them to turn innovative ideas into fully operational financial products," Hassan emphasizes. "This collaborative approach fosters sector-wide innovation and growth, bridging technology gaps and driving the digital payments revolution."

Beyond the Boardroom: Hobbies and Interests

Outside of his professional life, Hassan has a penchant for hands-on activities. "Interestingly, I am a handyman! My most enjoyable hobby is fixing home errands at my living and summer homes. I also have a personal stake in collecting and updating home tools, which is usually my first shopping priority whenever we travel as a family," he reveals.

Football is another passion of his, particularly with the significant developments in the sport. "Watching football matches has become a bigger part of my spare time. I am a keen follower of the Premier League, La Liga, and the Champions League," Hassan shares.

An avid reader, Hassan prefers traditional paper books over digital ones, focusing on leadership and management. "Reading helps broaden perspectives and enhance leadership skills. Recently, I have become more interested in entrepreneurship, which has enlightened me about the growth phases of companies, how to scale a business, manage innovation, and navigate the challenges of starting and running a company. Currently, I am reading 'The Hard Thing About Hard Things' by Ben Horowitz—an inspiring book offering honest insights into the tough decisions entrepreneurs must make."
