- B2C payments impact the development of B2B payments with the increasing consumerisation of B2B payments to provide a better user experience with relevant services in the B2B environment. This is especially the case in the travel sector where the distribution value chain is complex with many travel intermediaries
- During this panel discussion, Greg and other participants discussed the fragmentation of the B2B payment and process ecosystem with the need to identify relevant partners to address specific pain points and issues
- Fintech can play a significant role to address specific pain points and bring added value regarding distribution and payments. As the distribution value chain evolves with the growing importance of Offer & Order with NDC (New Distribution Capability) and alternative payment methods with wallets and A2A (Account-to-Account), it is paramount for actors in the travel sector to offer customer journey its customers expect and partner with relevant fintechs
- The panel discussion concluded on the growing importance of AI and the need to leverage data, a key aspect in the travel sector.
Greg Toussaint was also the lead judge during the Lions’ Den session with innovative product pitches from Julian Brand (CEO, Wallester), Rob Koselow (SVP Sales, Connexpay) and Gregg Turner (Head of Airlines – PCI-DSS Consultant, PCI-Proxy). Congrats to Wallester for winning this competition!
