Amir Wain, CEO of i2c Inc, spoke to EDC’s Samee Zafar. i2c Inc. drives innovation to the global digital banking and payments industry with a multi-function payments and digital banking platform.

1. i2c offers a range of products including payment platforms for all types of financial services companies. Tell us a little bit about your core/flagship product or service?

i2c’s flagship product is our agile processing platform that is unique in the industry. It is designed to offer global banking and payment processing (including credit, debit, prepaid, core banking, and lending solutions) that is highly configurable, flexible and reliable from a single global SaaS platform. The platform offers over 100,000 microservices that can be used as “building blocks” to rapidly create virtually any type of banking or payment solution. As a result, our customers can create customized and innovative new solutions they can get to market quickly – often within 30 days.

2. Which client segment is your main focus – more traditional financial services or Fintech?

Both and more. Our clients include financial institutions, Fin-Techs, corporations, and governments. The reason we can efficiently support a diverse client base is due to the building block architecture of our platform. We have millions of users across 216 countries and territories including the top 10 banking customers in North America, Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Latin America.

3. What do you do in your spare time? What are your hobbies?

I golf whenever I get the chance. I also like to read up on various subjects and learn new things.

4. What is your personal goal?

Becoming a scratch golfer and playing the U.S. Open, of course!

Now back to reality--one of the things I’m planning to pursue is to create a not-for-profit organization for non-profits. This organization will aggregate business resources (HR, Accounting, Sourcing, Funding, etc.) and offer these services to non-profits needing help, such that they can focus on their charters of helping others in the community and beyond.
